Congratulations Mr. President! There is no better way to acknowledge our great civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King on his birthday than by witnessing President Obama being sworn in to serve this great country for the second time! President Barack Obama saluted Martin Luther King’s birthday observance today, as well as his role model Abraham Lincoln, by using both of their bibles for his swearing in. And First Lady Michelle and daughters Sasha & Malia were right by his side.
President Obama tweeted this morning,
“I’m honored and grateful that we have a chance to finish what we started. Our work begins today. Let’s go. –bo”
President Obama was sworn in officially yesterday on January 20th, but ceremoniously today for millions of people all over the world.
Love their love.
The Obama daughters, also in J.Crew for Malia and Kate Spade for Sasha, have already made their entrance as they wore blue and purple looks.
Mrs. Obama, Sasha and Malia all wore a hint of purple to remind us that they are American royalty.
