Iyanla Vanzant has been a catalyst of change for many celebrities. Last year her first episode with Basketball Wives Miami star Evelyn Lozada was ratings gold for OWN. The new season of Iyanla: Fix My Life is starting out the same way. Next up… rapper DMX and former Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show star, Sheree Whitfield.
In the season opener on April 13, the life coach will visit DMX at his home in Yonkers, NY to try and help him through his issues. We know through his music, interviews and past television shows that DMX suffers from Drug addiction, alcoholism and infidelity. He grew up in and out of foster care and he has severe trust issues. He had several kids outside of his marriage and recently his wife and childhood sweetheart divorced him. Let’s hope Iyanla can give one of our most passionate rappers some comfort and guidance. But, from the looks of this video….it will not be easy.
In the second episode on April 20th, Iyanla will dig deep into Sheree Whitfield’s past relationship with ex-husband and former NFL star, Bob Whitfield. Iyanla sits down with the former couple to talk about the role of co-parenting in spite of their contentious divorce. During the previous season of the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, viewers witnessed Bob telling Sheree he was never going to pay her any child support for their two kids. She also was not happy with the fact that he has been an absentee father and is not contributing to raising their son and daughter. On the upcoming show, secrets will be revealed, truths are uncovered and emotions run high as Sheree and Bob reveal how they really feel about each other.
Tune in for the season opener of “Fix My Life” on April 13 at 9pm E/P on OWN.
