Preachers-of-LA

Tonight is the premiere of ‘Preachers of L.A.’ on Oxygen and I must admit…I my pastor, Bishop Noel Jones is one of the stars of the show, so I will be watching.  But, before you can see it on television, you can watch the first full episode here on CNikky! (Watch Below)

It’s the controversial reality show that is already receiving tremendous backlash from the Christian community, but before its Oct. 9 television premiere, Oxygen has made the first episode of “Preachers of LA” available for viewers to watch online.

Made up of Los Angeles-based pastors Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Wayne Chaney, Bishop Ron Gibson, Pastor Jay Haizlip and former pastor/Gospel singer Deitrick Haddon, “Preachers of LA” chronicles the behind-the-scenes aspects of these preachers lives.

In between their spirited services and Biblical references, “Preachers of LA” is catching hell for its showcase of ostentatious wealth and extravagant lifestyles. ABC’s “Dateline” did a news special on the reality show that was far from flattering.

A description of the show produced by L. Plummer Media in association with Relevé Entertainment provided by Oxygen read: “‘Pastors of L.A.’ will give viewers a candid and revealing look at six boldly different and world renowned mega-pastors in Southern California, who are willing to share diverse aspects of their lives, from their work in the community and with their parishioners to the very large and sometimes provocative lives they lead away from the pulpit.”

Now, you can view the first episode of the show yourself to determine if this is a reality show documenting balanced Christian men or one that will bring more scrutiny and reproach on the Christian church.

You be the judge!

  • I just watched the first full episode of Preacher of L. A. and I liked it so far. I don’t know what the hype is on others opinions of this show. Preachers are human and they go through everyday struggles, I like the fact that they are upfront and personal about how they arose at where they are today, they have to be doing something right with the turn out of their followers. Can’t wait until the next episode.

I loved this first episode. Especially the question that Dietrick Hadden asked, which by the way, got no reply! Go Detrick, Go!!

Did he just say when Jesus direct him then he will share the gospel of God.I don’t believe he had the nerve to say he has knowledge of the scripture.YOU DON’T CHARGE THE PEOPLE OF GOD,STRANGER,ALIEN ETC FOR THE WORD OF GOD. His job is to be a servant first and you must serve God and all he requires of you. That may include preaching the word of God for free why take from the people and never give back to the people.Maybe he should read when Jesus washed feet serving others.
