Super Mogul, Tyra Banks shocked fans of the reality show that changed the lives of young girls all over the world, America’s Next Top Model, when she parted ways with Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel, three cast members who had been on the show since the beginning.
Before you turn a side-eye at Tryra’s decision, remember that she did just graduate from Harvard Business School so her mogul skills are on point..and the ratings this past season were lower than usual so something had to be done! With that being said.. US Magazine reported this week that two replacements for the men have been announced, Katy Perry’s stylist Johnny Wujek and supermodel Rob Evans will join publicist Kelly Cutrone at judge’s table. Tyra also announced that the show would add a voting element, “Cycle 19′s judging panel will include your votes, comments and video messages. You will have a say in which models stay… and who goes home.”
It’s pretty interesting, viewers will be able to judge the models in this cycle in real time as the show films and then they’ll get to watch their commentary and results when the show airs in the fall. What a cool new twist! Unfortunately, the show is moving to Fridays which makes me sad. Top Model Wednesdays have been a staple in my house since season 1! Interesting choices Ms. Banks! I’m rocking with ya! Will you turn in to see the NEW America’s Next Top Model??
