Mary Mary is on the cover of Ebony magazine and they are revealing even more about their personal lives, then we’ve seen on their reality show on WEtv.  In the June issue of Ebony, Tina Campbell talks about her husband Teddy’s infidelity.  During season 1 of their show, there was obvious trouble in paradise.  When Tina asked Teddy if he was happy in the marriage, he made it clear that he wasn’t.  Unfortunately, instead of working it out, it seems as though Teddy (a band member in Jay Leno’s Tonight Show Band), stepped out on the marriage.  Many of us have dealt with infidelity and we know the first emotion you usually feel is Rage. SO, we understand it when Tina was honest enough to admit she tried to stab her husband when she found out!

Tina on discovering her husband was having an affair:

“Once I became aware [of the affair], I initially wanted to kill my husband…I was considering adjusting the will, the living trust and all that kind of stuff. I did physically try to stab him. Several times…I never got to the point of physical harm, not really, but my words…My words hurt. ”

Tina decided to work on her marriage instead of getting a divorce.  But, we all know, leaving him would’ve caused the most pain.  Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.  So sorry to hear about her pain, but we’re happy they are working it out.

Erica on husband going into the ministry:

“I feel like my husband has been called to minister…Now I said, ‘Lord, when I first started dating this guy he worked for Death Row Records, but he was from the church. That was a perfect combination for me: a little street, a little church.’”

Erica Campbell also reveals why she feels the Lord wants her to go solo.  On this past season finale, Erica decided to walk away from the group for a while, to pursue solo opportunities.  Erica and Tina seemed to be going in different directions in their lives, so a break may be the best thing for the group and for their families.  Sounds like a great article.  Pick up the June issue of Ebony Magazine in stores!
