Keke Palmer is busy making history as the first black Cinderella on Broadway! The 21 year old talk show host (who recently chopped all of her hair off) was overcome with emotion at the close of her opening night.
The cast which includes former host of the View, Sherri Sheppard, joined the audience in giving KeKe a standing ovation during curtain call. Keke expressed her gratitude on Instagram:
thank you to all my loved ones for my flowers, texts and emails of support! My dressing room is beautiful because of YOU! I had such an overwhelmingly thrilling debut night. Broadway .. Wow. God is so good, I am so grateful to the The Lord for using me in such a way that I can freely express his love through my passion. Tonight, my career, my LIFE, is a testament to the power of love; of God’s light! When you embrace him and who you are, when you spread love and kindness, when you stay consistent in your sincerity .. There’s NOTHING you can not do. Nothing is easy, it will be difficult. But understand you are not alone, we are all together. thankful to all of those that made it to the show tonight and I love all of those that were praying for me where they were.
Love It! Congratulations Keke on being a great example that dreams do come true. Check out a few other looks from the production. You can currently see her on Broadway until December, 3rd.
