After years of trying for a baby, Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill finally have their miracle baby. It was heart-breaking to watch their long journey through, failed pregnancy test, mis-carriage and breast cancer. So we are so happy to celebrate their little blessing baby Edward Duke!!
The proud parents debuted their tiny tot on the cover of this week’s Life & Style magazine, and, according to Giuliana, she couldn’t be happier to be on diaper duty.
“I’d never changed more than a diaper or two in my life,” the E! News host told the magazine. “Now it’s like the littlest things that make me happy — happier than I’ve ever been.”
Added Bill: “It’s amazing how maternal instincts have taken over, and Giuliana’s just supermom.”
Rancic, 37, and Bill, 41, welcomed baby Edward Duke into the world via surrogate on Aug. 29 and proud papa Bill couldn’t wait to share their happy news with the world.
“The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz,” he wrote on his Twitter on Aug. 30. “G & I feel blessed beyond words … We did it!”
The Rancics have endured a long process to reach parenthood, having undergone several unsuccessful IVF treatments — one of which resulted in a miscarriage — before finally deciding to have a child via surrogate.
But through it all, Rancic said she had faith that things would work themselves out in the end.
“I couldn’t believe that all those years of struggling and the tears actually paid off,” she said. “Every shot, every doctor’s visit — in the end, when you’re holding your baby in your arms, you forget it all, and it’s worth it.
“I had always heard that when you have a baby it completes your life – and it’s true. I love my baby, and I love my new role.”
