CNikky and our partners EURweb covered the red carpet event for Faithful Central Bible Church and Habitat For Humanity last week in Century City, California. Cherise caught up with the stars of Basketball Wives Miami and Hollywood Exes, Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada and Sheree Fletcher.
It’s interesting because all three ladies have shows on VH1, but the behavior on Basketball Wives is very different than that on Hollywood Exes. All three ladies shared their feelings about their shows and life lessons. Hopefully this season of Basketball Wives will be moving in a positive direction.
Here are a few excerpts from the interview, watch above for the full interview:
Evelyn was Shaunie’s date for the evening and the two shared their lessons they’ve learned about themselves this year:
Evelyn – “I’ve grown, I feel like I’ve got a second chance at life in a weird way..”
Shaunie – “I give great advice, I don’t know if I take my own as well.”
When asked about this coming season of BBW:
“You never know what’s gonna happen. We never go into a season saying, Hey this is what we’re gonna do. I know that last season was a little crazy…but we’re hoping that this season is smooth sailing.”
When asked about Evelyn’s relationship with Iyanla Vanzant (Iyanla Fix My Life):
“Every time I get into a space, I think about her….She’s my accountability partner!”
Sheree Fletcher was also in attendance at the event along with her handsome husband (who is a pastor). Sheree spoke about being proud of this season of Hollywood Exes:
“Not many people on reality can say that I’m proud of what we’re putting out and I’m very proud of what we put out.”
Sheree was on the show Hollywood Exes, also on VH1, because she was married to Will Smith. So, because she has experience with moving on after a divorce, we asked her for a little advice.
When asked to give advice to Evelyn Lozada and all divorcees:
“Take a beat..don’t date nobody, just get yourself together…”
Lovely advice from Sheree. We wish Evelyn the best, she does seem to be growing and let’s be honest, we all have a lot of growing to do!
