Exclusive Interview: Coby Bell Talks Re-uniting The Original Cast Of ‘The Game’ & Working With Brandy Norwood
Coby Bell has been on ‘The Game,’ since the beginning. So, when we sat down with him to discuss the show, he opened up about his journey and the evolution of ‘The Game.’ The cast made a few drastic changes, moving on from the two main characters Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall) and Melanie Davis (Tia Mowry). In a shocking decision by the network, they replaced two of the most beloved characters on the show with Lauren London (Kiera Whitaker) and Jay Ellis (Blue). And after a tumultuous divorce, Brittany Daniel (Kelly Pitts) left the show and was replaced with R&B superstar, Brandy Norwood. But, that’s not all…the original network, The CW, cancelled the show and after a hard fought campaign from the fans, BET picked the show back up a year or so later.
I asked Coby Bell, who has endured through it all, how he felt about the emotional roller coaster and if he would like to see the original cast back together. We also aced him what he feels was left un-said with his former co-star Kelly Pitts and how he feels about working with his new ‘wife’ Brandy Norwood.
