chloe-and-halle-bailey

Beyonce’ is ready to expand her brand by developing her own artist under her Parkwood entertainment umbrella and first up is the Bailey sisters, Chloe and Halle.  The duo gained acclaim after posting a video on youtube of them singing Bey’s hit song, Pretty Hurts. Beyonce’ loved the video and their voices, so much, she posted it on her facebook page and she signed them to their first record deal!  A week before she released her ‘Lemonade’ video anthology, the girls released their first official song and music video, ‘Drop.’ The song is hot and with over 1 million views already, it looks as though the ladies are well on their way!

I caught up with their ladies at their performance for the NAACP Image Awards Luncheon, before they were signed to Bey’s label. We spoke about the moment they found out she was a fan of theirs and why they felt like her song was an anthem. Not only are they beautiful, but they are also talented and extremely mature for their age. Check out a few excerpts from our interview below.

Why did you chose to sing Pretty Hurts?

“It has a wonderful message and we love how it’s composed.  And it went viral on youtube and Beyonce’ saw it which was really cool. And she posted it and I love her!”

What does it feel like to have your dreams coming true?

“It feels unreal. Sometimes I have to pinch myself, like I’m dreaming. But we’re so thankful to God because he could’ve chosen anyone to be in this position and we’re really really thankful.”

Have you experienced any insecurities yet and if so, how do you deal with it?

“I believe that every girl has their insecurities. And how I deal with them…I just look in the mirror and say I’m beautiful. We all have to look and say we’re beautiful and nothing can stop us. “

How do you feel about bullies?

“I feel like it’s really negative and I feel like there’s a thing called karma going around in the world, what you put out, comes back to you. And I feel like people shouldn’t let their insecurities get in the way and start bullying other people because of their own insecurities.”

These young ladies are on their way to becoming global superstars and I understand why.  They are poised, intelligent and well spoken and any parent would be happy for their child to be a fan of Chloe and Halle.  Check out our entire interview below to hear them sing and find out who the ladies are crushing on!
