70th Annual Golden Globe Nominees Are….

Posted by: cnikky

The Golden Globe nominations are in and there are many obvious nominees like Daniel Day Lewis, Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington, but there are also some surprise snubs.  Quezahne Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) was a sure bet, but she was not nominated, and Kerry Washington and Scandal are obviously missing from the nomination list, although I’m not completely sure if the show was eligible to be nominated because it’s so new?

The nominees for the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Thursday by Jessica Alba, Megan Fox and Ed Helms.  Steven Spielberg’s epic on the 16th president, “Lincoln,” stood out in the film categories with seven Golden Globe nominations, followed closely by Ben Affleck’s “Argo” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.”

The awards ceremony, to be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, will air January 13 at 8 p.m. ET/5p.m. PT.
