50 Cent makes a difference in Somalia

Rapper/Actor Curtis Jackson (Aka 50 Cent) made his way to a refugee camp in Dola, Somalia to feed the residents in support of the United Nations World Food Program. The UN originally had reservations about allowing 50 to be an ambassador because of his “hard” persona, but he told them that he was looking for more meaning in his life . The truth is, he spends most of his time running his company and meditating. We never hear about him being involved with criminal activities anymore. He posted a message on twitter in September saying he would donate 1 billion meals to the hungry around the world, and he is now on his way to keeping his word. ” “I want to be more, not just as an artist but as a person. My legacy…what’s left behind. I don’t want to be a guy who’s just remembered for writing a few cool songs.” On His Do-Gooder Persona vs. His Rap Persona and If It will be accepted by fans: ““It doesn’t match. It doesn’t match at all, but this is the next chapter of my life. I don’t care if my audience is prepared to move forward with me. They may not necessarily be growing at the same pace.”” 50 posted pictures of his experience on his Facebook page and wrote: ““I’m in Somalia this week to show the world the devastation that is taking place.Children going hungry everyday, even dying everyday from hunger. I am going to keep sending thru images from out here. I need you to take these photos and re-post to your friends. The world needs to see what is going on.”” Love you for this 50! I believe people can grow up and change.
